Please join Provisions Research Center for Arts and Social Change for a rare presentation of chronic freedom, an epic work of book artistry by Scott Holmquist.

chronic freedom encompasses five hand-made volumes housing a clandestine history of Northern California’s Humboldt County from the 1960’s to the present day. Humboldt County was a mecca for the back-to-the-land movement and subsequently part of an area that came to be known as the Emerald Triangle for it’s advanced cultivation of fine strains of marijuana.

Scott Holmquist will personally present his magnum opus, explaining this complex work of intimate social history and handmade bookmaking technology.
